It’s official: Microsoft 365 is here and is ready for public beta testing, with more than 100,000 users expected to jump aboard the productivity platform this month.
Office 365 offers an array of service subscriptions for small to mid-size to large businesses, with prices starting at just $2 per month. The secure cloud service allows you to work anywhere without sacrificing productivity, and is a simpler, more efficient way to contact and communicate with associates from any mobile device.
In a time when multitasking is of utmost importance and technology is doing anything but slowing down, Microsoft 365 is combining three online services in one: Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync. This means customers will have access to a range of services simultaneously, making Microsoft 365 an appealing solution to the adage “so much to do, so little time.”
With Microsoft 365, you can combine all your business communication needs in one service. You can email, share calendars and documents, call contacts, collaborate with team members, instant message, and conduct video conferences and meetings.
For a small business with 25 to 50 employees, cost for Microsoft 365 is just $6 per user each month, which includes access to light versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OneNote. Enterprise services start at $10 per month, and include 24/7 phone support (small businesses only receive email and discussion thread support). For those who prefer to work with enhanced versions of their favorite programs, there is the option to upgrade to Office Professional Plus for an additional fee. This would open up the following programs for use on the new Microsoft 365 system: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access, InfoPath, and Lync. It is important to remember that while Microsoft 365 is the latest innovation in online computing, it has not merely moved the Office suit to the cloud, but rather made these programs available in a wider networking arena.
Additionally, a bundle subscription to Office Professional Plus is also an option at a $499 one-time payment. And further customization is available, as well. Users can opt for less complex Office bundles such Office 2010 or Office 2008 for Mac, for example, making Microsoft 365 flexible for companies of all sizes and needs. There are also VoIP services and Web Office Apps that can be added to each subscription, further personalizing each Microsoft 365 account.
